The next DC Drupal meetup will be on Monday, June 14 at 7:00 pm at Stetson's Bar and Grill, and it will be a part of Digital Capital Week, which looks like it will be very awesome weeklong technology festival happening in the city.
This month's meetup will focus on publishing with Drupal, with one demo of a publishing tool scheduled along with a talk on search, which is important to any publishing site as well as many others. As always the floor is open to anyone who'd like to talk - for five minutes - about something Drupal related. If you want to join the line up, just post in the comments or talk to me at the meetup.
* Jeff Walpole from Phase2 Technology will walk through Open Publish, their Drupal distro for online publishing. On the heels of this, Tim Bertrand from Acquia will talk about support and hosting they're offering for Open Publish.
* Young Hahn from Development Seed will talk about Searchlight, an experimental approach to pluggable search backends in Drupal that lets you leverage advanced search services like Solr or Sphinx interchangeably. He'll be blogging about it and an implementation we're working on for a client this week at http://developmentseed.org/blog, so if you want a sneak peak watch for that.
Drupal meetups are open to everyone and are a great way to get to learn more about Drupal and meet its local user and developer community. The meetup will start at 7:00 pm, with presentations starting at 7:30 pm. Hope to see you there!
