Jumping Off on the Oregon/California Trails May 20, 2010

"Jumping off" was a term coined by pioneers of the mid-19th century to describe the places and events leading up to departure on the trails. During this 30-minute guided tour, we will highlight Independence and other towns central to the preparation and organization of wagon trains.
