Jump Jive and Shout Jive Night September 10, 2011

Another lively, fun friendly retro style jive nighter with Jeniffer Jackson spinning some of the very best in pulsating, energy driven rhythm n blues, jump jive, boogie woogie, doo wop, blues shouters and more from the 1940s and 50s.

Remembering and celebrating the fantastic music of some of the great unsung originators of what became known as rock n roll e.g. Louis Jordan, Big Joe Turner, Amos Milburn, Ruth Brown,Little Richard, Lucky Millinder and many others.

Plus live a very special guest appearance from the brilliant Claire Hamlin one of the only women rockin’ blues, boogie woogie, swing and rock n roll pianists in the world and founder of the excellent Slammer’s Maximum Jive band. Making a welcome return to Jump Jive and Shout for with invigorating,vibrant live set.

Great music, great dancing and great fun.
