Samantha Salazar of Countryside, IL has been a practicing artist ever since the age of three. Producing her creative artwork is one of her greatest passions, and throughout the month of July, North Riverside Mall Theatre, at 7501 West Cermak Road, will be presenting her works for movie-goers to enjoy in the lobby exhibit space.
Salazar describes her work as encompassing 2D and 3D mediums, which embody personal connections to her life. “To me, art is about communication and the connections that are formed between people,” Salazar emphasizes. She adds, “Art is an amazing form of expression because it can be a catalyst for communicating ideas about the world between the artist and viewer. I want my art to be an integral part of this global conversation.”
Salazar’s exhibit will feature a series of etchings that focus on human instincts as well as a series relating to the emotion of fear and its different stages. “This set of work represents the progression and development of a range of skills and mediums I’ve been working on over the past four years,” explains Salazar. “I am very excited to share my work with the community at North Riverside Mall Theatre.”
Each month, the North Riverside Mall Theatre provides lobby space to display the works of local artisans.
