Judgment at Nuremberg, written by Abby Man, is about a US military tribunal in which its defendants, Ernst Janning (Minister of Justice) and Emil Hahn, a prosecutor, are charged with crimes against humanity during the Nazi regime. The play explores the critical theme: Is an individual criminally responsible for following the immoral laws of a regime?
A classic courtroom drama. Filmmaker, playwright and stage director Diane Namm presents Judgment at Nuremberg. The play stars Drake Hogestyn (Days of Our Lives), in the role of “Ernst Janning” Katharine Ross (The Graduate, Donnie Darko) in the role of “Frau Bertholte” and Ian Patrick Williams as “Judge Haywood,” as well as Betsy Baker, Andy Hirsch, D. Kevin Kelly, Michael Merton, Holger Moncada, Lydia Muijen, Barry Salzman, Jodi Skeris, Lisa Temple, John Zderko and Rafael Noble.
Judgment at Nuremberg opens Friday, March 11th and in a limited engagement, runs through Sunday, April 3, at the Main Space at the Santa Monica Playhouse located at 1211 4th St. in Santa Monica.
