Ju-Ju Japanese Restaurant November 30, 2006

I've made a 7:30 booking for 15-20 people at Ju-Ju''s which is a fun Japanese joint which does Karaoke after dinner for those who are game.. Perhaps we could meet at O'Malleys Pub just down the road on William St ( cnr Brougham Sts) It will be Sophie's and my last meet until next year so it would be nice to say Merry Christmas to you all : )

You would be forgiven for thinking you had walked into a barn when entering this enormous Japanese restaurant. Tables are sunk into pit-like pens and surrounded by wooden palings. Unlike many refined and quiet Asian restaurants, this joint is super loud and rowdy. The crowd of mostly hip, young things all seem to love the place and especially get in to the post-dinner karaoke. There is a well-priced wine list and an amazing variety of classic Japanese dishes including sushi and sashimi.

BTW, karaoke is entirely optional and doesn't start until later in the evening so for those who have sensitive ears you wont need to bring hearing protection ; )
