Hooves, Paws, and Claws: In Step with LA History. Grand Foyer, Level 1. Beyond our exhibit halls, our History Department is busy at work doing research and working on our collections. Become a Junior Historian this month and discover how our History collections reveal how the relationship of Angelenos to animals has contributed to the region's landscape, culture, and economy. Whether considered as livestock, transportation, entertainment, or personal companions, animals provide a fascinating and unexpected portal into Los Angeles history and the transformation of its environment. Junior Scientist is specially designed for 6- to 9-year-olds and their families. All programs are FREE with paid Museum admission or Membership and include a personal Field Notebook to take home.
