This week’s artists include DJ Delmar Browne; Soul Cycle, a high-powered, Brooklyn-based instrumental funk trio that creates “urban jazz soundscapes for the 21st century”; Newark-born Victor Jones and his Culture-Versy, a group that plays “acid jazz funk” – a rich blend of jungle, jazz, and rhythm-and-blues; and Milo Z (pictured), a high-funk, high-energy, New York City-based soul collective whose music is always accompanied by tight choreography and a distinctly theatrical flair.
