ArtsEmerson: The World On Stage presents Joven y Alocada. In an unabashedly honest film about adolescence, 17 year-old Chilean Daniela struggles with an internal conflict between her strict Evangelical upbringing and her natural tendency towards rebellion. While she fumbles through defining her sexuality and battling expulsion right before college, her parents send her to work at an Evangelical TV network where she starts to fall in love with both devout Tomas and adventurous Antonia; having to choose will be the biggest obstacle of them all. Funny yet containing a powerful message, Joven y Alocada looks at what it means to be young and wild.
