Jothy Rosenberg, Cancer Survivor, Amputee, Entrepreneur and Endurance Athlete, Signs his Book, Who Says I Can’t September 9, 2010

BURLINGTON | Meet cancer survivor, amputee, entrepreneur and endurance athlete, Jothy Rosenberg, of Newton, at Barnes & Noble in Burlington Sept. 9 for a signing of his book, Who Says I Can’t.

Rosenberg, 54, was only 16 when a diagnosis of cancer required the amputation of his right leg. Three years later a second diagnosis cost him nearly half of his left lung. His doctors told him that he had a zero chance of survival, but he devised a plan for living instead of dying.
Who Says I Can’t recounts the numerous seemingly impossible achievements Rosenberg has accomplished in the 34 years since beating cancer. From founding six start-up tech companies, to riding in the 192-mile, two-day Pan-Massachusetts Challenge eight times, to completing the annual swim from Alcatraz to San Francisco a whopping 16 times, each of Rosenberg’s accomplishments is more amazing and inspiring than the last.

Book signing starts at 7 p.m. and will be held at Barnes & Noble, 98 Middlesex Parkway, Burlington, MA 01803. A portion of the proceeds from each book go to the Pan-Mass Challenge. The Pan-Mass Challenge aims to raise $31 million this year to support cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund.
