While researching his first book on the Pixies, Frank came across the name Peter Ivers as the composer of the song from David Lynch's Eraserhead, one that came to be the most popular cover played by the Pixies for a decade. What followed was a 3-year investigation into his life and the unearthing of the lost story of Ivers, the host of New Wave Theatre and perhaps the biggest star you've never heard of.
