Final Lecture - Josh Coates Tech Venture StartUp HOWTO
Provo, UT -- May 6, 2008-The final lecture in the Josh Coates Tech Venture Startup HOWTO series is slated for Tuesday, May 13 from 11:30 AM. - 1:30 PM at the Mountain View room, Novell Cafeteria (1800 South Novell Place; Provo, UT.) The topic will be Corporate Governance and Financial Exits. An additional lecture, originally scheduled for Tuesday, May 27 has been canceled, making the May 13 lecture the last in this series.
Attendance has increased with every lecture, with a capacity crowd at the most recent event. Phil Burns, software engineer and serial entrepreneur, remarked that Coates is one of the few people who he turns to for guidance. "Real entrepreneurs are hard to come by," Burns says. "A lot of people are willing to hand out advice to startups but they don't have the experience to back it up. Josh is one of the few here in Utah who has actually done it. Ill listen to what he has to say."
No cost to attend. Please purchase your own lunch at the Novell cafeteria prior to these events. Contact Linda at lreed@novell.com or at 801.705.9303 to reserve your place.
This lecture series is sponsored by: The Open Source Technology Center at Novell; Omniture and www.siliconslopes.com; the Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum; the Provo Business Development Corporation; the Utah Fund of Funds, and Utah Science, Technology, and Research (USTAR.)
