Jose's World Flauta Eating Championship December 6, 2009

Nationally recognized local icon Jose’s will host a large-scale street party community event in conjunction with the first ever sanctioned World Flauta-Eating finals on December 6th 2009. Though Jose’s World Flauta Eating Championship will kick off at 4 p.m., starting at 10:00 a.m. there will be a free community street party event right on Prospect Avenue, which will be closed for the fun festivities. What’s even better is that San Diegans will be able to take in the La Jolla Christmas and Holiday Parade and then walk down to Jose’s and enjoy the festivities.

In addition to watching 15 of the world-champion eaters compete for the title and crowned the Flauta-eating champion of the world, San Diegans of all ages can enjoy inflatable jumpers, carnival type games, free face painting. There will also be a beer and food garden and a local DJ's. Jose’s is the official "Fun Sponsor" for the La Jolla Christmas and Holiday Parade.
