Following three previous releases, The Dreamer (Jan 2008, Brownswood), BLACKMAGIC (Feb 2010, Brownswood), and For All We Know (May 2010, Impulse!), Jose James is currently finishing his fourth studio album No Beginning, No End. Recent projects include guest performances with Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra’s “A Tribute to Billy Strayhorn” at Rose Theater, as well as touring internationally with McCoy Tyner’s “The Music of John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman.”

Taylor McFerrin’s musical style is equally influenced by the legends of ‘60s / ‘70s soul and the kings of the Modern Beat Generation. His production credits include remixes for The Cinematic Orchestra, Amp Fiddler and Corrine Bailey Rae, as well as album tracks for José James and UK Rapper TY. By playing all the instruments on his productions while also relying heavily on resampling and chopping up his live takes, he has found a sound that bridges those two worlds. Taylor's first full length LP, titled Early Riser is due out on Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder Record Label, Fall 2012.
