Joni's Jazz - the songs of Joni Mitchell August 17, 2011

One of the most influential songwriters of the late 20th century, known primarily for her acoustic folk, Joni Mitchell also turned to jazz musicians, creating a thrilling new context for her songs. Led by drummer/musical director Brian Blade, this evening celebrates Mitchell's daring jazz-based recordings -- including a performance of her 1975 masterpiece The Hissing of SUmmer Lawns.
