Starting on Monday, June 16th, San Francisco hero Jonathan Richman spends four nights at the Make-Out Room next week, as part of his latest tour in support of his recent album Because Her Beauty is Raw and Wild. Outside of some soundtrack work, it’s Richman’s first new album in four years, and it showcases more of the great offbeat and melancholic pop that he’s become known for as well as some surprisingly mature stories about the passage of time and the inevitability of death.
As he was on the record, Richman’s joined on this tour by longtime drummer Tommy Larkins and after the SF shows, they’ll be heading out for dates in the Pacific Northwest. Richman’s performances start at 8pm and are $15 a ticket. You can buy them in advance here. Because Her Beauty is Raw and Wild is out now on Vapor Records.
