Jonathan Lethem, author of bestsellers Motherless Brooklyn and The Fortress of Solitude and MacArthur "genius" grant recipient, has been called one of the best writers of his generation. Lethem's literary fiction is inspired by such popular influences as Raymond Chandler, Philip K. Dick and comics. His most recent work is a graphic novel: the long awaited revival of 1970s cult classic Marvel comic Omega the Unknown, the story of a reluctant superhero from another planet and the earthly teenager with whom he shares a strange destiny.
