Mr. Biss made his New York recital debut at the 92nd Street Y in 2000 and has since given recitals in many other cities throughout the US, including Washington, D.C., Boston, Baltimore, and Chicago, as well as at the Caramoor and Ravinia Festivals. Abroad he has performed with the BBC Symphony, Munich Philharmonic, Staatskapelle Berlin, and at the Verbier and Bad Kissingen Festivals; he has given recitals in London and Zurich, at the Spoleto Festival in Italy, and at Klavier-Festival Ruhr in Germany. Mr. Biss was an artist-in-residence on NPR's Performance Today and has been recognized with numerous awards, including Lincoln Center's Martin E.
