This stellar line up of talent will present a variety of readings and stand up comedy in the first half of this hilarious 90 minute show. In the second half, they will share their worst experiences in the biz and their very first jokes. Plus, there is a "press conference" a Q and A with you, the audience!

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS:
Jonathan Ames is the author of the novels I Pass Like Night, The Extra Man, and Wake Up, Sir!, and the essay collections What's Not to Love? and My Less Than Secret Life. He is the editor of Sexual Metamorphosis: An Anthology of Transsexual Memoirs. A new book of essays, I Love You More Than You Know, was also recently published.
He is the winner of a Guggenheim Fellowship and is a former columnist for New York Press. Mr. Ames performs frequently as a storyteller and comedian and has been a recurring guest on the Late Show with David Letterman.
Annabelle Gurwitch is best known to television audiences for her numerous years as the co-host of the cult favorite Dinner and a Movie on TBS. As a writer, she has published humor pieces in Los Angeles Magazine, Glamour, Premiere, Child, and Cooking Light amongst other publications. On TV she has served as the host of numerous shows including The Dream Team on the Sci-Fi Channel, You're Invited on The Style Channel, and makes frequent appearances on shows like Reel Time with Bill Maher, Politically Incorrect, Ask Rita, and The 70's on VHI. She has twice been nominated for Ace Awards: one for Dinner and a Movie, and one for anchoring Not Necessarily the News which aired on HBO. Some of her other roles include: Get Real, Nip/Tuck, Charmed, Seinfeld, Murphy Brown, and LA Doctors.
David Rakoff is an essayist, journalist, and actor. David has written for the New York Times Magazine, Outside, GQ, Vogue and Salon. He is also a frequent contributor to the radio program This American Life. His most popular essays have been collected in the books Fraud and Don’t Get Too Comfortable
Jessi Klein is a NYC based stand-up comedian and writer. Since entering the comedy scene in 2001 she's made numerous appearances on Comedy Central, CNBC, The Today Show, VH1's Best Week Ever and The Showbiz Show with David Spade. A self-proclaimed "geek", she appeared on the television specials My Coolest Years: Geeks on VH1 and Rise of the Geeks on E!. She currently works as the director of development for Comedy Central.
Elizabeth Spiers is the founder of Dead Horse Media, which publishes Dealbreaker, a gossip site about Wall Street, AboveTheLaw, a gossip site about law and Supermogul, a business management site.
Spiers is perhaps most famous as the Founding Editor of Gawker.com, an influential New York media gossip weblog, and also worked briefly as the Editor in Chief of mediabistro.com, a job-hunting site for the media world.
She has also written for New York Magazine, The New York Times, Salon.com and The New York Post, among other publications, and has spoken at various media and technology conferences. She has also been a guest commentator on CNN, Fox News, CBS Marketwatch, MSNBC and VH1.
