A favorite among our booksellers since its release last February, Finn takes readers on a journey into the history and heart of one of American literature's most brutal and mysterious figures: Huckleberry Finn's father. The result is a deeply original tour de force that springs from Twain's classic novel but takes on a fully realized life of its own.

This is the only book I have ever read that made such an impression that when I finished the last chapter, I turned to page 1 to start again.
I have never seen imagination so fully imposed on a great work of art to create another. This is surely one of the ugliest books I have ever read, but it made me feel the oppressiveness of the racial and social attitudes of the time tangibly and convincingly.
