Academy of Management Meeting, Atlanta, Georgia 2006
Professional Development Workshop
5:00pm-7:30pm, Saturday, August 12th
Atlanta Marriott Marquis, Room: Cluster 3 - Sydney
Sponsors: OMT/BPS, Pre-registration required.
The aim of this session is to bring together a small, relatively informal, gathering of likeminded scholars who do simulation work to discuss issues both technical and philosophical relating to simulation and its role in the social sciences.
Participants will be expected to have done, or be doing simulation work, and should be familiar with a computer programming language. The session is limited to 20 people excluding the PDW facilitators and panel. The first goal of the workshop is to share thoughts about approaches to representing real world phenomena in computer simulations as well as affording an opportunity to share thoughts about tools, tips, and ?tricks of the trade?. The workshop will also provide an excellent forum for discussion of larger, more philosophical questions, which is our second goal.
Please follow this link for more details about the session. Pre-registration is required.
