Johnny Millwater at Howl at the Moons' Comedy Zone September 19, 2010

The Howl at the Moon Comedy Zone starts every Sunday night with NO COVER CHARGE for anyone 21 and up (except for some holidays and Special events) from 7 to 8 pm. (18 to enter, 21 to drink).

At 8 pm the World Famous Dueling Piano Show starts and entertains you for an hour while you get comfortable and ready for the comedy show.

At 9 pm the Comedy Show starts featuring top touring comedy acts (listed below) from across the country. The Comedy show lasts anywhere from 1hour and 15min to 2 hours (depending on the nights act).

After the Comedy Show, the Piano players retake the stage for hand-clapping, edge-of-your-seat entertainment. This is one of Howl at the Moons’ favorite shows. A night not to be missed.

Due to the popularity of these shows, a reservation is recommended but not required.

The feature comedian this week is: Russell Ehrett

Tired of hearing so many jokes about the differences between men and women? Yeah, so is Russell Ehrett. Like a fresh breath of comedic air, Russell’s act is like nothing you’ve heard before and nothing you’ll forget. Bouncing from the caustic to the playful and landing somewhere in between the intelligent and the moronic, Russell delights in taking his audiences down avenues of comedy that aren’t even listed on the map. If you’re looking for unique and original stand-up, then look no further (unless he’s standing far away).

Russell got his start in comedy in Edinburgh, Scotland. While on an exchange program, he tried his hand at an open mic and left the audiences in stitches and cheering for more. Only later did he discover it was a room full of drunken Danish tourists who didn’t speak English very well, but by then it was too late – he was hooked. Upon his return home, Russell received his degree in English literature from the University of Alabama and instead of writing the great American novel he decided to write jokes. And although his parents weren’t so thrilled with this turn of events, Russell couldn’t be happier.
