Johnny Gunn & his band, The MexxiBillis is a group of seasoned professionals doing original music inspired by the many different genres of music Johnny has had the pleasure and good fortune to work with, including artists and or members of Eddie Money (Rock), Cold Blood (Funky R& B), Metallica (Heavy Metal), Night Ranger (Melodic Hard Rock), Tommy Castro (Blues), The TomKatz (R & B), Puro Bandido (Latin Rock), Ka Ehu Kai (Hawaiian group), Tim Murphy and Vince Gil (Country). Johnny has developed a sound that grooves, rocks and sways flavored with some of today’s Outlaw Country. Johnny's manager, Gordon Mackay, calls it Swamp Rock, nothing abrasive, but enjoyable songs with a guitar driven sound incorporating traditional Americana roots instruments like the pedal steel, dobro and banjo with hard hitting drums and bass. He is currently in the studio finishing up the long awaited CD, "Calboyz & Enginez" to be released on Strawhouse Records/Sony Red this Spring 2010.

Puro Bandido was formed by Jose "El Bandido" Mayorga in 1979 whose vision and dream was to form a band to fit his unique persona and capture the true San Francisco Mission District Experience! He carefully scoped out the music scene and hand picked the best of the best recruiting two original members to join the Bandido Posse. Richard Segovia & Rolando "Choco" Contreras brought his vision and sound to life combining Culture, Style & SAVOR! Jose "El Bandido" Mayorga may you rest in peace knowing that YOUR DREAM LIVES ON THROUGH PURO BANDIDO!!!!
PURO BANDIDO is more than a refreshing musical group - it is an attitude and eclectic sound that mesmerizes it’s audiences with their incredible stage presence, driving rhythms, soaring guitars and precise musical execution. The music is a high energy blend of musical styles the band calls Border Rock because they “cross all borders & have no boundaries”. The Sound is a combination of old school and new sounds created by a combination of driving percussion, a rhythm section incomparable and vocals to match.
Puro Bandido has opened for Linda Ronstadt, Tower of Power, Eddie Palmieri, and Santana, just to name a few. They were featured at the Heineken Regatta in St. Maarten in the Caribbean and numerous festivals and clubs throughout the United States. Puro Bandido just released its latest CD, “We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Badges”. Most of it was recorded at Fantasy Records, co-produced with Fred Caterro and some with Steve Fontano.
PURO BANDIDO carries the torch today and paves the way for all Latin Rock Groups following in their footsteps. They share the love with many younger artists they produce and work with in their studios, Casa Bandido in San Francisco and The Ammo Room in Dublin.
