One of South Africa's most popular performers, Johnny Clegg brought the white, English-speaking, society and Black, African, culture of South Africa through that country's first multi-racial band, Juluka. The band recorded two platinum and five gold albums and became an international success. After disbanding in 1986, Clegg formed Savuka and continued to blend African music with European pop influences. Clegg released a best of compliation in 2002.
