Morning Practice Session with John + Lucy Scott:
A progressive Self-Practice / Guided Count
Each day will begin with a progressive Self-Practice / Guided Count class where John and Lucy will look beyond the general blue-print of "correct asana" meeting individual bodies, to free up blocked/stuck energy through breath management, bandha and foundation corrections. Concepts, and techniques explored in the afternoon theory technique sessions will also be explored within the context of a flowing practice. (Note: If there are enough students practising Second Series, then John will count a Second Series introduction).
Group A 7.00 - 9.00 am (SORRY - SOLD OUT)
Group B 10.00 - 12.00 am (SORRY - SOLD OUT)
Afternoon Sessions with John only:
4 Theory Technique Classes each afternoon from 2.30 - 4.30pm
Monday July 13th: Finding the Sthira and the Sukha
Taking steps backwards, this class will look at specific fundamental foundations and openings, breaking down to the key components of Sthira, helping the body to move forward, and to "open up" in some of it’s most unconscious places.
Tuesday July 14th: "Free Breathing" - Guruji
A dynamic play with the Victorious Breath to find the Continuous Sound, Flow and Touch of the Breath.
Wednesday July 15th: Pratyahara – Turning the mind in on the experience.
This class will present a new perspective on Pratyahara, a playful exploration into the heightening of the 5 senses.
Thursday July 16th: Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga – A Unit of Function
Initially, the eight limbs of Patanjali’s systematized approach to yoga looks to be 8 separate steps or stages. This class will look at how it is possible to become more integrated, to realize our "wholeness".
