John McCutcheon is a compelling singer whose songs sing of the nation’s heritage. His words channel the conscience of our people into streams of poetry and melody. He is an outstanding instrumentalist, especially renowned for his hammerd dulcimer playing. He performs original music and traditional folk music that he learned from the legendary figures of eastern Kentucky.
