Jasperse presents a work-in-progress showing of Canyon which will premiere in September at Philly Fringe Festival. The New York Times has described his work as "intelligent art [that] energizes, rather than enervates ... You want to keep digging til you unearth [all its] layers." In Canyon, Jasperse tackles the transformative power of loosing oneself in visceral experience, where the supremacy of the intellect is humbled into a state of wonder. The work includes music by Hahn Rowe, visual design by Tony Orrico and lighting by James Clotfelter.
"Waking up begins with saying am and now. That which has awoken then lies for a while staring up at the ceiling and down into itself until it has recognized I, and therefrom deduced I am, I am now."
