Watch the Holiday Season come alive, with the flip of a switch! Friday, November 28, 2008 the City of Woodstock will host their annual Lighting of the Square beginning at 7PM.
Continue celebrating after the lighting ceremony and warm up at the Stage Left Café, 125 Van Buren Street, Woodstock, Illinois (located next door to The Woodstock Opera House) at 7:30PM with musical artists John Hegner and Cassandra Vohs-Demann as they light up the crowd with their lively mix of holiday music, originals, and pop favorites!

John Hegner has recently emerged as an exciting new voice in Chicagoland’s music scene. His meaningful lyrics, hypnotic melodies, astounding musical hooks and smooth, dreamy vocals will take you on a journey through love, faith, inspiration, reflection, life and beyond. He has had the distinction of playing at the Woodstock Opera House, and a history of performing at numerous venues on the New York City and Boston music scenes. John will be selling his newly released CD, “254,” at a holiday special $10.

Cassandra is a 20-year veteran performer and songwriter who has toured the Midwest both as an opera singer and as the lead vocalist for numerous rock bands. She has performed for the Chicago Bulls, with the Grant Park Symphony Chorus and most recently as a feature artist at the well-known Uncommon Ground Coffeehouse in Chicago. A prolific songwriter, Cassandra's lyrics and extraordinary vocals connect with people straight from the heart. Cassandra will be selling her albums, "Holiday Wishes" and "The Give and the Take," for $10, as well as 2 of the singles that will be featured on her next CD for $3.
