John Coltrane Anniversary Tribute featuring Ravi Coltrane Quartet & Roy Haynes December 1, 2006

What better way to celebrate the legacy of the late great John Coltrane than with a tribute performance featuring two great quartets: The Ravi Coltrane Quartet, featuring his son, up-and coming sax star Ravi Coltrane, and the Roy Haynes Quartet, led by drummer Roy Haynes, a regular member of Coltrane groups during the 1960s. These two quartets come together in a jazz celebration of the 80th anniversary of Coltrane’s birth.
