John Caparulo from "The Tonight Show," Comedy Central and "Chelsea Lately" September 20, 2012

John Caparulo's sharp wit, unique delivery, and brilliant affinity for cuss words has made him a crowd favorite right off the bat.

John began his career in comedy in 1997, performing at comedy clubs around Cleveland and Pittsburg while attending Kent State University in Ohio. After graduating he left behind his lucrative career patching potholes to take his talent to the left coast. There, he spent the next four years working the door at Hollywood's Comedy Store by night and cutting grass at a local golf course by day. His first big break came at the 2003 "Just for Laughs Comedy Festival" in Montreal, where industry observers were impressed enough to offer him a sitcom deal. Finally John could trade in his weed whacker for a microphone full-time.

Today John continues applying his blue-collar work ethic to the stage, where he performs nearly 365 nights a year. He shares, "I wanted to be a comedian because it's the best way to tell the world how you really feel. I also figured it was the only way I was ever going to be laid." In retrospect, "now I wish I had learned how to play guitar."

John has made multiple appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, done a half-hour special for Comedy Central, and performed as part of "Blue Collar Comedy: The Next Generation" in 2007 alongside Bill Engvall. John's biggest problem now is that he's often compared to Larry the Cable Guy. "I love all my blue-collar comedy fans because I can relate to them, and that's pretty cool. But the next jackass who yells 'Git 'er dun' at me is gonna git 'er throat punched!"

In addition to touring nationwide, John can be seen alongside his pal Chelsea Handler as a regular on her hit show "Chelsea Lately" on E!. John shares, "It's like hanging out at my buddy's house and getting a check for it! It really is the most fun I've had since I got into comedy. I've known Chelsea since we were both doing 6-minute spots in the attic at The Comedy Store. I never thought she really liked me. Come to think of it... I'm still not sure."

Johns past projects include hosting "Trailer Park Disasters" on CMT and in 2008 he was featured in "Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show." His Comedy Central special "Meet Cap" has also been released on CD and DVD by Warner Bros. Recently John has started making his mark in animation, voicing the character "Headphone Joe" in the newly released Disney Channel series "Fish Hooks." He's also got supporting roles in two recent 20th Century Fox feature films, "Marmaduke" and "Rio."
