Haven Hospice and the Jacksonville Suns stadium will host the inaugural Joes v. Pros Celebrity Challenge in Jacksonville. Partnering with the University of North Florida baseball team, this fundraising event will be emceed by WJXT's Bruce Hamilton and will feature UNF’s Ospreys baseball team as the “pros” for the event.
The event will include an exciting day of baseball training stations, food, live music, a silent auction and a grand finale softball game of “Joes vs. Pros.” There will also be a special performance by American Idol star Phil Stacey. Stacey served four years in the NAS Jacksonville Navy Band Southeast.
Reservations and tickets are required. The cost is $35 per person for adults and $20 per person ages 11 to 18. Ages 10 and under are free when accompanied by an adult. One hundred percent of the proceeds from Joes v. Pros Celebrity Softball Challenge will support Camp Safe Haven, a local program for children and teens, as well as patient care, services and the many programs provided by Haven Hospice that are otherwise unfunded.
