The Joe Perry Project is a rock band formed by Aerosmith lead guitarist Joe Perry. Perry started working on forming the band shortly before his departure from Aerosmith in 1979. In 1984, Joe Perry rejoined Aerosmith. In 2009 Joe Perry released a new solo album. Although the record was released as a Perry solo album, the band he is touring with includes original bassist David Hull and they are being billed as The Joe Perry Project.
