Adult alternative rock musician, Joe Firstman is widely known as the current bandleader and/or music director for Carson Daly's house band on NBC’s Last Call with Carson Daly. Playing keyboards and piano, Firstman started his music career in 2003 on Atlantic Records, and has produced two albums (“Wives Tales” and “The War of Women”). His emotional sound and powerful performances earned him the 2001 Singer/Songwriter of the Year at Los Angeles Music Awards, and led to his feature in the Sundance Channel’s documentary, “Keeping Time: New Music from American Roots.” Blending ballads, pop, and rock, Firstman has collaborated with the ranks of Jewel, Lisa Marie Presley, Willie Nelson, and Sheryl Crow.
