A Chicago native, Jimmy grew up in a Catholic family of twelve. He was the youngest of seven boys and quickly learned to use comedy to ease the pain of the beatings. He describes growing up this way: "I lived in a blue-collar neighborhood where people would come home from work, watch 'All in the Family' and laugh for all the wrong reasons." Jimmy feels his working class background is what really made him turn to comedy. His stand-up comedy act is an insightful, irreverent and painfully honest telling of this upbringing and the grown man it produced.
Making audiences laugh from New York to Hawaii and everywhere in between, Jimmy has performed at over one hundred colleges and countless comedy clubs. His television appearances include NBC's Friday Night!, Comedy Central's Short Attention Span Theater and Standup, Standup, and A&E's An Evening at the Improv and Caroline's Comedy Hour. In 1997, Jimmy was chosen for the prestigious Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, garnering rave reviews. Most recently, Jimmy was a recurring performer on Comedy Central's highly rated Make Me Laugh.
