Jim Gaffigan is a true triple-threat having achieved major milestones in stand-up, acting and writing.
As a stand-up comedian, Jim's clever, quiet style has earned him numerous appearances on both CBS' ?Late Show With David Letterman? and NBC's ?Late Night With Conan O'Brien.? His ?Comedy Central Presents: Jim Gaffigan? half hour special remains one of the highest-rated for all stand-up specials on the network and he has been featured at HBO's prestigious US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen and the world renowned Just For Laughs International Comedy Festival in Montreal.

In the fall of 2005, Image Entertainment recorded Jim's performance at the historic Vic Theater in Chicago for release as a DVD entitled Beyond The Pale . Comedy Central will debut Beyond The Pale as a prestigious One Hour Special on January 29, 2006 to support the release of the DVD on February 7, 2006 . Comedy Central Records will also release Beyond The Pale as a CD on February 7.
After Jim's first appearance on ?The Late Show With David Letterman,? Mr. Letterman personally chose Jim to develop his own sitcom for World Wide Pants. A year and half later, ?Welcome to New York ? debuted on CBS to critical acclaim. The Wall Street Journal declared Jim "a true find" and TV Guide nominated Jim for Best Actor in a New Sitcom. Jim then co-starred with Ellen DeGeneres on her CBS sitcom ?The Ellen Show.? Jim has had recurring roles on FOX's ?That 70s Show? and NBC's ?Ed? and has had numerous roles on ?Law and Order,? ?Sex and the City,? ?Third Watch? and ?Hope & Faith? among others. Jim is featured in the TNT pilot ?Talk to Me,? which is under consideration for a 2006 run.
Jim has appeared in more than two dozen feature films ranging from big budget hits ( Three Kings , Road Trip ) to Indies ( Final , Igby Goes Down, Entropy) . Jim starred with Maggie Gyllenhaal, Edie Falco, and Tony Shalhoub in "The Great New Wonderful,? which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2005. Jim appeared in several films chosen for the Sundance Film Festival, including Super Troopers and Thirty Years to Life and will return to Sundance in 2006 in the drama Stephanie Daley alongside Tilda Swinton and Timothy Hutton.
Many recognize Jim from his numerous award-winning commercial campaigns, which include Rolling Rock, ESPN, Saturn and recently Sierra Mist. Jim's commercial presence had such an impact that for 1999 Business Week declared him "Salesman of The Year."
