Jill Scott made a name for herself by collaborating with the Roots on 'You Got Me,' a Top 40 pop hit in 1999. Scott released her debut album, 'Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1,' in July 2000, scoring a hit with 'A Long Walk.' 'Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2' came in 2004. Scott is touring behind her latest, 'The Real Thing: Words and Sounds, Vol. 3.'
