Jessica Jones Quartet July 12, 2008

The Jessica Jones Quartet is a four-person improvising ensemble that performs original experimental music. The music derives from the jazz tradition of Charles Mingus, the Art Ensemble of Chicago, and Ornette Coleman, using structured original compositions as a framework for freer improvisation. Combining two tenor saxophones with bass and drums, the group strives for a unique experimental sound while paying tribute to its traditional roots.
