Jenna Lash's Solo Art Show "Imagined Memories - A Family Album" Opening Reception April 4, 2012

Synchronicity Fine Arts invites you to the opening reception for artist Jenna Lash's solo art show "Imagined Memories - A Family Album" on Wednesday, April 4th from 5:30pm to 8pm. The special evening will feature complimentary wine and an appearance by the artist at Synchronicity Fine Arts located at 106 West 13th Street.

Lash's work focuses on the subjects of family and family dynamics, where line and form parallel the complexity of emotions. Color and space mirror the contrasting facets of lineage and relationships. Her current 15 piece exhibition, featuring oil on canvas, is focused on the process of discovering the family and consequently, the self. The idea for the works came while caring for her elderly parents, both who suffered from terminal cancer, and then allowing herself to both grieve for her loss and celebrate their lives. The journey is as telling and meaningful as its' ultimate revelations. Inspired by her domestic and overseas travels, Lash seeks to constantly challenge the content of her art and the mediums used to convey her message.
