A true musical theatre phenomenon, "Jekyll & Hyde" is an evocative tale of the epic battle between good and evil, "Jekyll & Hyde" is based on Robert Louis Stevenson's classic story about a brilliant doctor whose experiments with human personality create a murderous counterpart. Convinced the cure for his father's mental illness lies in the separation of Man's evil nature from his good, Dr. Henry Jekyll unwittingly unleashes his own dark side, wreaking havoc in the streets of late 19th century London as the savage, maniacal Edward Hyde.
The 31-member cast includes Matt Wessel (Dr. Henry Jekyll/Edward Hyde), Sarah Wigley (Emma Carew), Amy Osatinski (Lucy Harris), Neil Compton (John Utterson), Ryan Huckaby (Simon Stride),Dave Priboth (Sir Danvers Carew), Jess Nichols (Nellie), Alicia Leeper (Mrs. Poole), Blake Nawa'a (The Bishop), Alex Early (Lord Savage), Rosemary Smith (Lady Beaconsfield), Lane Cohen (Sir Archibald Proops), Wayne Easter (General Lord Glossop), William Cole (Spider), Taylor Speer (Priest), Lane Cohen (Inmate), Maggie Frei (Bisset). The Aristocrats - Michelle Bever, Amber Dashner, Loreen Gulli, Danielle Jauw, Claire LeBorgne; The Street People - Debbie Gertie, Kristin Honiotes, Tanner Kelly, Erica Trisler; The Prostitutes (Dancers) - McCall Bethurem, Ashley Blythe, Amy Condon, Joanna Hickam and Lisa Platz.
Director Gary Lewis comments, “The Cleo Parker Robinson theatre is a perfect setting for this musical as there are excellent sight lines and the intimacy and feel of the theatre really compliments the entire production.” With musical direction by Ron Troester and choreography by Liane Adamo and musical favorites like “This Is The Moment” and “Someone Like You”, this show should be on the top of your “must see” list for the spring.
