The Classic American Road Race
The Philadelphia Distance Run has been the premier half marathon in the U.S. for over a quarter century. The tradition continues in 2007. Run to the rhythm of Philly's top musicians as they provide extra excitement and prestige to this Classic American Road Race.
The Course
After the start gun fires, participants will run along the legendary Benjamin Franklin Parkway on their way through historic Center City. After passing City Hall and Independence Hall, runners will head to the serene and picturesque Fairmount Park along the Schuylkill River before finishing back at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, home of the famous ""Rocky"" steps.
