On Wednesday, June 26th Jeff Dunham brings his undeniable talent and unstopable laughs to The WesBanco Arena in Wheeling WV. Dunham has taken the art of ventriloquism to new hights and has transformed it into a cutting-edge comedy experience.

The last year has seen Dunham amass a series of triumphs to add to the many stellar achievements already in his career. His current tour is expected to gross $25 million as his appearances consistently sell-out and, second shows are frequently added as soon as the first is announced due to fervent ticket demand. He hit the two million sales mark with his DVDs “Spark of Insanity” and “Arguing With Myself” — as compared with average stand-up comedy DVD sales of 35,000 — and his new DVD “A Very Special Christmas Special” racked up quadruple platinum sales (of more than 400,000) in its very first two weeks and is sure to add at least another million to Dunham’s sales tally. The premiere of his holiday special on Comedy Central drew 6.6 million viewers to become the cable channel’s most-watched show ever. He sold out the Caesar’s Palace Coliseum during the star-studded Comedy Festival in Las Vegas and Toronto’s Massey Hall as part of Canada’s prestigious Just For Laughs festival. He recently released his first-ever CD, Don’t Come Home For Christmas, which jumped into the Top 10 of the Billboard Independent Album chart as well as the Top 100 on its release and also hit #1 on iTunes comedy CD sales chart along with Achmed’s Christmas song “Jingle Bombs” topping the iTunes comedy singles chart.

In April Dunham took Europe by storm playing to sold-out houses with major media exposure & a rapturous reception greeted his first overseas tour. Language, distance and borders can’t stop the Jeff Dunham buzz, which got louder in Europe as the comedic genius and his suitcase posse of hilarious sidekicks hit five European capitals last week. In his live overseas debut, Dunham sold nearly 30,000 tickets to fill major venues in London, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki and Oslo, made national TV appearances at his stops in the grand cities, and has received vibrant media attention in various national and local newspapers and magazines.

Dunham’s European triumph will no doubt boost his burgeoning international DVD sales to add to his current and ever-growing tally of four million copies sold of his three titles — some 115 times greater than average comedy DVD sales numbers. He recently inked a multi-platform deal with Comedy Central that covers all areas of entertainment, including TV, DVDs, a stand-up special, consumer product partnership and a 50-date Comedy Central Live tour. Dunham has also struck content partnerships with iTunes and Amazon.com in addition to You Tube. Coming in the future from Dunham — who continues to earn nightly standing ovations in sold-out arenas and auditoriums across North America — are his first book for Dutton publishers, a TV series and a feature film. It all marks Dunham and his crew of comedic characters a worldwide comedy phenomenon.
