Jeevan Vidya Madhyasth Darshan Meeting June 8, 2008

Dear Friends,

Ecologically unbalanced Earth is fast becoming unlivable for mankind. Every sect and creed is insecure of each other and within. Mankind has reached a deadlock for these two situations. We seem to be getting more and more embroiled in problems at multiple levels. Madhyasth-Darshan is “The Alternative” proposal before mankind – which has the solution/resolution for these issues/deadlocks. This proposal is not linked with any of the past ideologies or belief-systems known to mankind.
The Study of the Human-Being could not happen until now by the two major ideologies – Theism/Idealism and Materialism – that emerged and evolved in history of mankind. The Alternative is “Madhyasth Darshan”. The Study of Human-Being is now possible in, from, and for Coexistence.

Madyasth Darshan (or Jeevan Vidya) is an existence based human centric ‘darshan’ (English: philosophy). It addresses the issues/problems faced by mankind in various dimensions viz: within the Self, with the Body, in Family, in Society, in Nature and in Existence (Existence - All that IS). It has proposals (answers) for the fundamental questions that have dogged mankind since time immemorial: namely: the Why? and What? for all things (realities) of concern to human living – starting from the self and extending to the entire existence, and the interrelationships inherent in existence
Madyasth Darshan has come about by “An Alternative Way” and is being put forth as an ALTERNATIVE to the available proposals on knowledge/understanding and living available with mankind.

The Study of Human-Being can now be universalized through Integrated-Education. Integrated-Education shall incorporate Human-Consciousness based Value-Education. All Observations, Tests, and Surveys required for judging on feasibility of universalizing this proposal have been completed at a number of places. This presentation also proclaims that every Resolved-Human can Live with Justice, and every Resolved-Family can Live with Solution and Prosperity. Justice, Solution, and Prosperity can be universalized in mankind through Integrated-Education. It is hoped that you will internalize the presented information – using your own good reason.

Progress to date
Information about The Alternative based on Madhyasth-Darshan (Jeevan Vidya) is being disseminated through Jeevan-Vidya Workshops (Hindi: ‘Shivir’) – which are being attended by peoples from diverse backgrounds.
Over the past few years, people from all walks of life have attended workshops on Vidya and many are now seriously studying it. These include academicians, social activists, housewives, students (of all age groups), social workers, scientists, working professionals, psychologists, doctors, politicians, bureaucrats, farmers etc. It has now now become part of the curriculum in a number of technical institutes and efforts are on to take this to other levels and areas of education. NIT Raipur and more than a dozen institutions from Chattisgarh are incorporating Jeevan Vidya into Education. Jeevan-Vidya has now become a part of the curriculum of IIIT, Hyderabad. It is also being evaluated by IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, KJ Somaiya Group of Institutes (Mumbai) and Society of Integrated Development of Himalayas (SIDH), Mussoorie. Dr A P J Kalam (former Indian President) – who himself has been evaluating this proposal - inaugurated the National Convention on Jeevan-Vidya in June 2007 and also mentioned it in his Independence day speech on XYZ Date . People from each of these places have very encouraging results to share.

All the things Jeevan Vidya is not:
Is not linked to any past ideology or belief system or religion known to mankind
Does not pertain to any specific caste, creed or gender
Is not a belief system, a religion or ideology and does not have a list of do’s and don’ts.
Is not something to be ‘learned’ and ‘followed’ – but to be studied and ‘understood’. If we ‘understand’ reality, it automatically comes in our living.
Is not an organization or a Not for Profit (NGO). It is the name for a set of proposals about reality.
There is no central organization with any ‘head’ or anything like that.

Jeevan Vidya is presented in the form of propositions, and does not expect anything to be accepted on faith but to rigorously examine the truth or veracity of these propositions. Through the process of learning directly in existence (Hindi: adhyayan prakriya) it helps us understand the basic nature of all entities. The participants are requested to evaluate these propositions on their own right (Hindi: adhikaar) without taking any recourse to past beliefs/conditioning (Hindi: manyata).
