JEC Asia Composites Show October 21, 2008

The JEC Group of France, a non-profit organisation which promotes the use of composite materials worldwide, is organising its first Asia Pacific’s first international composites show for the industry. More than 300 companies representing some of the world’s leading names in the composite industry will showcase cutting-edge technologies and innovations from all segments of the industry: thermosets, thermoplastics, resins and fibres, high technology and high-volume markets.
Currently, the composite industry in Asia accounts for 36% of the global composite industry market which was valued at an estimated 19 billion euros in 2006. With double digit annual growth expected, the industry in Asia Pacific could account for about half the global industry’s worth in 10 years. In fact, Asian players in the composite field are growing at an average of 20% per year, the fastest in the world.
33 new innovations and cutting-edge technologies from the world over will be showcased at the JEC Asia Composites Show 2008. There will be a special focus on the achievements of composite companies in countries such as Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
The Show’s 3-day line-up of activities include 2 exciting conferences and 3 Forums:
1) The Economic Conference aims to provide invaluable information on growth opportunities in Asia Pacific, key figures and market intelligence on each country and market, best practices covering trends, developments as well as case studies on construction, energy, transportation, sports and leisure.
2) The Design Conference is focused on design, strength and life of composites. This will be led by some of the world’s top specialists from Asia and the US.
3) The three Forums will be dedicated to the Aeronautics, Automotive and land transportation and Construction and Energy industries.
