BROOKLYN, NEW YORK: Fools Proof Theatre Company will present Je Suis Dead at Irondale, September 30 – October 2. An award winning Theatre Company from Liverpool, England, Fools Proof combines absurd humour and a compelling fragmented narrative with strong visual and highly physical theatre.
Je Suis dead is the story of three lonely people who have just survived a train crash and reality is folding in on them. Emily is weird, Helen is boring and James is an arse.
In their vulnerable post crash state unknown parts of themselves manifest as strange characters from the past each with their own story to tell. Stories and unfulfilled dreams begin to overlap and connect like a twisted puzzle. In the midst of it all the three strangers reach out to each other.
Conceived and directed by Fool’s Proof Theatre in collaboration with Gey Pin Ang (formerly of the Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowksi and Thomas Richards, Italy) and reworked with the assistance of Linda Kerr Scott, Je Suis Dead has received accolades such as:
“I would recommend it to one and all for a fabulous evening of self-reflective physical theatre. “ - Theatre in Wales
