The singer-songwriter who helped put Southern California-style country-rock on the airwaves in the 1970s as co-writer of classics for the Eagles (including "Best Of My Love", "Heartache Tonight" and "New Kid In Town") and scored his own top-10 hit in 1979 with "You're Only Lonely" has returned with an ambitious amalgam of rock, country, jazz and even Latin music with If The World Was You; Picture Roy Orbison meets Thelonius Monk via Hank Williams and Tito Puente. The album is the long-awaited return of a master singer/songwriter as well as the birth of a new and relevant artist who's creating music that is absolutely essential and entirely his own.
