JCC Youth Triathlon May 3, 2009

Lace up your running shoes, don your swim cap and tune up your bike because Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine Institute, Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital and the Memorial Hermann Wellness Center are sponsoring the JCC Youth Triathlon Sunday, May 3, 7:30 a.m., at the JCC, 5601 South Braeswood in Houston.

During the Youth Triathlon, children ages 9 to 12 will participate in a 200 meter swim a 5K bike ride and a 2K run. Children ages 13 to 16 will compete in a 300-meter swim, a 10K bike ride and a 4K run. The event, designed to promote athleticism in youngsters is a USA Triathlon-approved race. Proceeds will benefit Achieve Houston Triathlon Summer Camp and Meals on Wheels.
