In celebration of Black History Month and the influence of the Blue Note label and its artists on American culture, Jazz St. Louis will commemorate the legacy and 70th anniversary of Blue Note Records with a special CD Listening Club.
On Tuesday, February 10 at 7 p.m., Dr. Gerald Early, Merle Kling Professor of Modern Letters at Washington University in St. Louis, and Gene Dobbs Bradford, executive director of Jazz St. Louis, will discuss the "golden age" of Blue Note Records and the CD "The Best Blue Note Album in the World" at Borders, 1519 S. Brentwood Boulevard.
