The Richmond Youth Jazz Guild, Jazz Composers Alliance, Inc. and Muse Creative Workspace are working in partnership to assist our first student to attend the Berklee College of Music 5-Week Summer Performance Program. Our rising senior was awarded full tuition to the program, but needs to raise money for the cost of room and board in Boston. To this effort an outdoor live music festival, "Jazz Out", will feature youth bands from the Richmond Youth Jazz Guild and a special guest local jazz band. This event will take place on Saturday, June 5, 2010 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Muse Creative Workspace (corner of 19th and E. Main Streets). A special fund has been established with the Jazz Composers Alliance, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization to receive donations toward the student's room and board. Food, Music and Shockoe Bottom, what more could you ask for? For more information (Email: info@jazzcomposersalliance.com)
