Augustana Arts presents Jazz Night Out downtown at Jazz @ Jacks! This event is emceed by KVOD's David Rutherfordand features Dotsero for a great night of music in a true nightclub setting. All ticket sales and onsite donations are dedicated to support City Strings, a program bringing the blessings of quality music instruction to underprivileged students in low-income neighborhoods.

Doors open at 5 p.m. performance begins at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20 at Jazz @ Jacks! At the Denver Pavilions, 500 16th St. #320, Denver, CO. A limited number of VIP seats are available for $50. Dotsero is one of the hottest contemporary jazz ensembles on today’s music scene. Combining jazz, pop, R&B and rock, the veteran contemporary jazz outfit creates a catchy, appealing sound and style completely their own.

City Strings mission is to bring the blessings of quality music instruction to underprivileged students who might otherwise never have access to it. We believe that the arts provide a foundation for learning by encouraging creativity and self expression. City Strings help students learn a music instrument and in doing this, they develop self confidence as well as an appreciation for music performance. City Strings works to foster a love and appreciation for music, instill confidence, and develop communication skills. Since 1997, Augustana Arts has been serving the community by presenting the artistry of resident performing groups, internationally renowned touring artists and accomplished locally-based ensembles of many genres. The resident groups, Musica Sacra Chamber Orchestra (MSCO) and the Colorado Women's Chorale (CWC) perform at a variety of venues in addition to the majestic Augustana Lutheran Church in Denver. Augustana Arts serves educational outreach through the City Strings program, an inspired vision guided by violinist Robyn Sosa. City Strings provides access to high quality, private music instruction free of cost to metro area students.
