Jazz at Intersection: Ben Goldberg Quintet October 7, 2007

Celebrated award-winning clarinetist Ben Goldberg was a pupil of eminent clarinetist Rosario Mazzeo and studied with jazz greats Steve Lacy and Joe Lavano. His pioneering work with the New Klezmer Trio in the late '80s "kicked open the door for radical experiments with Ashkenazi roots music" (SF Chronicle). His work spans wide-ranging moods and improv-rich modes with beauty, depth and serene power.
